Smartboard Technology

Metro English College uses cutting edge Smartboard technology in its classrooms to maximise the learning potential for students. All classrooms are fitted out with Smartboards, which are interactive whiteboards that allow active student participation, both in class and later at home. Smartboards do exactly what computers can do, but can enhance the learning experience, allowing multimedia activities and access to the Internet. Lessons written on the board can be saved and then uploaded to Moodle (online student learning platform) for students to review at home.

We believe that education should be more than just lectures and assignments. During your time at Metro you will have access to various social and educational excursions, events and sports clubs. You will be able to enjoy these activities with students from over 50 countries, giving you the chance to discover more about different cultures and communities. Take the time to appreciate and absorb the opportunity offered by this diverse environment.

Our students also have access to a large recreational and study facility in the basement level of the GCA Campus Towers. In this brilliant multi-use space students have the use of quiet study rooms, lounge areas, computer kiosks, a lunch room, a kitchenette with microwaves, vending machines.

The GCA campus is equipped with free Wi-Fi throughout and has:

  • Modern spacious classrooms
  • Computer labs
  • Smartboards
  • Kitchen facilities including plenty of microwaves
  • Vending machines for snacks and drinks
  • Student information and IT support services
  • Organised excursions in and around Sydney, including trips to the Hunter Valley, the Blue Mountains and Port Stephens
